Photography business coach Sean Brown discusses why simply posting sneak peek photos on Instagram is no longer an effective strategy for booking clients. The host explains that sneak peeks don’t differentiate you from other photographers, don’t educate clients on what you offer, don’t address client objections, and don’t allow clients to get to know you. Instead, the host recommends creating social media content that shows what you do, how you do it, overcomes common client objections, and allows clients to learn about your personality. This may include behind-the-scenes videos, answering FAQs, and giving glimpses into your workflow. The goal is to move beyond just showcasing pretty photos, which everyone does, and provide value that attracts ideal clients. This involves understanding target clients’ needs and objections and tailoring content accordingly.
